Create Shortcut

A shortcut is an abbreviated piece of text that you would like to use in the place of a larger block of text. The abbreviation is usually 2-5 characters long and doesn't conflict with a possible combination of letters you may use during normal typing.

In our example, we'll create an abbreviation for our work phone number. It's a great candidate for a shortcut because you type it many times and it would be nice to avoid repetition and possible typos. Note however, Ditto can type any length of text for you.
